
The purpose of this short book is to provoke discussion in a particularly difficult period. On the one hand, it seems that the grand objective of the "New Politics" or the "Forces of Change," inaugurated with the emergence of Podemos in January 2014, has been marred by the conquest of a few large city councils. As of mid-2018, there is no expectation of a clear leadership role for Podemos and its allies, condemned to a subordinate position to the PSOE in government. On the other hand, the so-called "regime of '78," if by this we mean the substantial relations of the political order (party system, the basic forms of the state, the system of rights and the relations between society and state), has been recomposed in a way that never ceases to surprise.
