Nathalie Schmid

Nathalie Schmid (born July 3, 1974 in Aarau) is a Swiss writer. After graduating from high school, Nathalie Schmid traveled throughout North and Central America. She then attended a mountain farming school and then, starting in 1998, studied at the German Institute for Literature in Leipzig. She graduated from there in 2002 with a diploma in poetry. She works as a freelance author and has published her work in numerous magazines (including text+kritik, Die Zeit, and Entwurfe) and anthologies (including Jahrbuch der Lyrik). [1] She is a member of the Swiss Authors' Association (AdS). In addition to her writing, Nathalie Schmid is active in adult education on the subject of creative writing and German as a foreign language. She lives and works in Baden.
