The constitution of a policy and reform of the WGs, the deployment of regional representations, the prioritization of the theme of "critical thinking" in the Congresses of Bogotá, Montevideo and Lima, the promotion of regional seminars (aimed at increasing dialogue and joint action with national associations of researchers, whose number has grown greatly in the period), the seminars in Sao Paulo and La Paz, the new publications policy, the restructuring of the ALAIC portal, the support of its paper journal and online dissemination and the creation of a new publication (the Journal of Latin American Communication Research), as well as the search for coordinated actions with other macro-regional associations around the world, have characterized this management.
