The nature of the pandemic as a singular and irreversible event is not so simple to determine. We all have the intuition that this crisis has an opaque core, an image of threat that escapes mere scientific knowledge, and where the emergence of a shared experience of uncertainty, complexity, and fragility of ecosystems is at stake, until now denied and erased by the macroeconomic interests of neoliberalism
From one day to the next they have burst into the very center of our becoming, and we come to remember that we are linked, that we have always been linked, ontologically linked, and that we cannot with impunity pretend to exist separate from the world and from others. It is about seeing that the exile of the human being imposed by Modernity was a fiction, and that the only thing that this crisis has allowed us to experience in a positive way is that the bonds constitute us.
