Monsta was a little disappointed. He had intentionally chosen that boy to live under his bed. He had planned to do creepy things and give him lots of scares. And he had put a lot of effort into it: he sharpened his teeth, prepared masks, and made his hair stand on end. He gnawed on posts, made doors creak, and even hid toys. He practiced terrifying sounds with his nose, built up more and more muscle, and tried to scare him, unsuccessfully, by cracking his bones. He even tried to grab the boy's legs under the blanket. But nothing worked. The boy didn't even flinch. He snored, slept peacefully, grunted, and smiled in his sleep. Not a hint of fear. No wonder Monsta was so fed up and bored!
