Tenured Professor of Art History at the Autonomous University of Madrid after having been from Barcelona. The research and teaching of Ana Ávila has been directed towards modern and contemporary art, especially dealing with Renaissance painting in various articles and monographs. The subjects referring to artistic techniques and cultural heritage are also another of its main fields of study. Literature has focused some of his latest works, either in its more specific aspect as in its overlap with the plastic.
