Agustín Pániker (Barcelona, 1959) is an editor and writer. He has been co-director of the radio program "L’Hora de la Ciència" (1984-1985) and director of the magazine Ser uno misma (1990-1991).
He has published (always in Kairos) Jainism: history, society, philosophy and practice (2001), Indika: an intellectual decolonization (2005), The Sikhs: History, identity and religion (2007), The dream of Shitala (2011), Caste Society (2014) and The Three Jewels (2018).
He is a professor in the "master's degree in religions and societies" at the Pablo Olavide University of Seville and in the "master's degree in religious diversity" at the University of Girona. He has been a professor in the “master's degree in history of religions” at the UAB-UB, in the “master's degree in Asian and Pacific studies” at the UB and in the “master's degree in immigration and intercultural education” at the UB.
He is president of the Ramuni Paniker Trust Foundation dedicated to helping children in need in India in education and cultural exchange between South India and Spain.
He has written numerous articles in popular magazines and university publications on world societies, religions and cultures. He contributes to various media and frequently gives seminars and lectures on various aspects of India and Asia.
