Agustín Pery Riera (Cádiz, 1971) studied Information Sciences. For twenty-three years he worked at the newspaper El Mundo where he held different positions. In 2007 he was appointed director of El Mundo / El Día de Baleares, from where, in 2013, he uncovered, together with his team, several of the most relevant political corruption scandals in the history of Mallorca. The result of these experiences is Moscas, his first novel. With Txalaparta, he brings Iñaki Altolaguirre back to life, a Navarrese national policeman involved in the fight against terrorism. A character full of edges, tough, intelligent, amoral, cruel, cold and as respected as he is feared inside and outside the police stations.
Currently, Agustín Pery lives in Madrid and is deputy director of ABC.
