Georges Alain Derbez Velázquez (Boca del Río, Veracruz, October 3, 1956) is a Mexican writer, saxophonist, and music theorist. He is also a radio and television host, screenwriter, critic, teacher, producer, and presenter. In Mexico, he is considered a leading figure in music history. As a musician, he was a founder and member of several bands in Mexico City, Zacatecas, and Xalapa.
