He was born in Tucumán. After obtaining a PhD in Physics from the Balseiro Institute, he continued his professional life in the United States. He was a researcher at the University of Chicago and is a tenured professor at the University of Oakland. He has published numerous research papers in front-line journals, as well as contributions on science education. He is the author of Physics in Everyday Life, Chance in Daily Life (Siglo XXI Editores) and The Principle of Least Action, History and Physics (Cambridge University Press, in collaboration with Anthony Bloch); and creator and host of the series Artists of science and Mozo! There is a physicist in my soup, broadcast by the Encuentro channel. He was Jack Williamson Professor of Science and Humanities at the University of Eastern New Mexico, "Specialist" at the Fulbright Foundation, and is a collaborating member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language. He is also a notable musician. He recorded with Mercedes Sosa and has three solo albums (Visiting, in the Guitarras del Mundo collection, Para mi sombra and Tangentes)
