Alejo Carpentier Valmont (December 26, 1904 - † April 24, 1980) was a Cuban novelist, who greatly influenced Latin American literature during its famous boom. Despite his short literary production, it is considered one of the architects of the renovation of Latin American literature, in particular through his writing style, which incorporates all aspects of the imagination-dreams, myths, magic and religion their idea of reality.
