Amelia Valcárcel is Professor of Moral and Political Philosophy at UNED and Minister of State Elective. Editor and author of over a dozen books, chapters and articles in collective works, has twice been a finalist for the National Essay Prize with books Hegel and Ethics (1987) and From Fear to Equality (1993). He currently leads the Research Project Ethics, religion and women's rules. He belongs to various Boards, (Fundación Carolina, Real Instituto Elcano), editorial boards, juries, commissions and patronage. He has chaired and directed numerous courses and seminars, national and international doctorates worked in Spanish and Latin American universities, the UIMP, the Center for Constitutional Studies and the General Council of the Judiciary. It is also a consultant to UN Gender Policy. It has been a participant in the Declaration of Human Duties and Responsibilities and jury in Prince of Asturias Award for Communication and Humanities and Arts. Besides being constantly cited in bibliographies, dictionaries reviewed in philosophy and personalities, and so on., Has received several awards and have been dedicated several books.
