André Green, a French psychoanalyst, member of the Psychoanalytic Society of Paris (SPP), former vice president of the International Psychoanalytic Association (IPA) and guest professor at University College London (UCL), is one of the greatest exponents of contemporary psychoanalysis. His first stay in Mexico (April 9-15, 2007) was promoted mainly by the International College of Higher Education (CIES), in collaboration with other academic and psychoanalytic institutions in the country. He spoke with several Mexican psychoanalysts, supervised clinical cases, gave lectures at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) and the Universidad Iberoamericana (UIA), in addition to offering a three-day seminar under the title "Current and future of psychoanalysis".
