
Andrea Jeftanovic Avdaloff (Santiago, Chile, October 15, 1970) is a Chilean writer. A novelist, essayist, teacher, editor, and literary and theater critic, she has published the novels *Escenario de guerra* (War Stage) and *Geografía de la lengua* (Geography of Language), and the short story collections *Monólogos en fuga* (Monologues on the Run), *No Aceptas Caramelos de Extraños* (Don't Accept Candy from Strangers), and *Destinos errantes* (Wandering Destinies). In the field of nonfiction, she is the author of *Conversaciones con Isidora Aguirre* (Conversations with Isidora Aguirre), *Archivo Isidora Aguirre. composición de una memoria* (Isidora Aguirre Archive: Composition of a Memoir), the collection of creative essays *Escribir desde el trapecio* (Writing from the Trapeze), and the essay *Hablan los hijos* (The Children Speak).
