
Antón Morón, Antonio. Professor of Sociology at the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Graduated in Sociology and Political Science from the UNED and PhD in Sociology from the Complutense University of Madrid (with distinction cum laude). He belongs to the Research Committees of the Spanish Federation of Sociology on Social Movements, Collective Action and Social Change and Sociology of Work. He is also a specialist in Public Policies and the Welfare State, Political Sociology and Sociology of Education.
He has published numerous articles and essays and more than fifteen books. Among the latest are Active Citizenship. Sociopolitical Options in the Face of the Systemic Crisis (2013), Popular Movement and Political Change (2015) and Social Democracy Today (2016).
Power, Social Protest and Institutional Change (2015) was his first book with Dyskolo, followed by Class, Nation and Populism. Critical Thinking and Political Strategies (2019), Feminist Identities and Critical Theory (2021), Perspectives on Progressive Change (Dyskolo, 2021) and Transformative Dynamics (2022).
