Bert Daelemans

Bert Daelemans (Belgium, 1976) trained in Paris, Madrid, Berkeley and Louvain as a pianist, civil engineer, philosopher and architect, but his childhood in Cameroon led him to the Society of Jesus and the priesthood. He worked for a time with the Dalits in India and the Quechua in Peru. He has a doctorate in theology from KU Leuven in Belgium and lives in Madrid, where he is dedicated to the theology of the sacraments, liturgical space and the arts at the Comillas Pontifical University. In 2017, he lived with the Yup'ik in Alaska for four months.

Among his books are Spiritus loci: a theological method for contemporary church architecture (2015), Encuentros en el camino. A proposal for spiritual discernment (2015) and Via Crucis. Shine the light from his face (2020). In Fragmenta he has published On the shores of the Yukon (2020).
