Charles Bernard Renouvier (1815-1903) was a French philosopher and writer. He considers himself a neo-Kantian, author of his own philosophical system called neocriticism, which politically promotes the republic and socialism. He is the author of, among other works, General Criticism Essays (1854-1864), Analytical Philosophy of History (1896-1898), The New Monadology (1899) and Personalism (1903). His most important work is Ucronía. Utopia in history (1876).
