Christopher Brookmyre - (Glasgow, 1968) is a novelist and president of the Humanist Society of Scotland. His novels, powerful narrative, are a mixture of comedy, social denunciation, action and politics. He has received several awards throughout his career, including the Critic's First Blood Award for Best First Crime Novel of the Year by Quite Ugly One Morning, or the Scottish Crime Book of the Year by Black Widow (2016). He lives in Glasgow with his family.
