Christopher Fynsk

Christopher Fynsk. An American-born philosopher, he received his doctorate from John Hopkins University, in addition to receiving a Diplôme d'Etudes Avancées from the University of Strasbourg, where he collaborated with Philippe Lacoue-Labarthe and Jean-Luc Nancy. He is founder and director of the Center for Modern Thought at the University of Aberdeen; he has taught at binghamton university (bu) and the european graduate school (egs). His first stay in Mexico (January 11-14, 2011) was organized within the framework of the 10th colloquium of 17, Institute of Critical Studies, entitled "Childhood and infamy", where he offered a series of keynote speeches.
