Concepció Boncompte (1956, Barcelona) has a doctorate in Art History and a degree in Law from the University of Barcelona. She brings to the research the knowledge of the artistic process from the ins and outs of her profession: painting. Her work is the result of the free gaze of the painter and the academic rigor of the art historian. This dynamic of hers allowed him to discover, in her doctoral thesis, the early influence of Pompeian painting on Picasso; and to explain, thus, the change of the artist, who flowed from the blue period to the pink one.
