Cristina Álvarez Puerto

Cristina lives at the service of the word and the poetic voice, which have been the backbone of her soul for more than 30 years. Since he was part of the Network of Young Artists of the Community of Madrid in 1990, he has voiced hundreds of his own and others' poems always talking to music: he has recited with pianists, cellists, sopranos ... creating poetry shows and dance, great hobby, premiered in theaters and theaters. Voice and movement to express images, to put body to vowels and consonants that form a poem, diving in its gestation from the body (and from the body of the voice) uniting melody and rhythm, believing in the transmission through the living word, in search of harmony.

In 1999, after receiving drawing and engraving workshops, he collaborated with several plastic artists. Edited together with Yigal Ozeri engraving folders with poems such as Fragile Architecture and Presence of the Absent, presented in Barcelona, ​​Vienna, Tel Aviv and New York. In the same year he worked in the Print Work Shop in New York the book of poems, engraving and handmade, Huertos materiales, limited edition of 75 copies, presented in Estampa, International Engraving Fair in Madrid, Barcelona and Mallorca. He has published other poems: De la piel and other volcanoes (2004), Four seasons for a duel and Anchor of Me (2011).
