Edgardo Castro

He was born in 1962. He holds a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Fribourg (Switzerland), CONICET researcher and university professor. He has taught at various universities in Argentina, and visiting professor at the Istituto Italiano di Scienze Umane of Naples in the Federal University of Santa Catarina (Brazil), at the University of Chile and the National University of Colombia. His publications dealing with contemporary philosophy, particularly French and Italian. It is one of the leading translators of the work of Giorgio Agamben to Spanish, and is in charge of editing the texts of Michel Foucault Foucault included in the series Fragments Siglo XXI Editores, Foucault also published his Dictionary. Themes, concepts, authors (2011). His other books include Thinking Foucault (1995), Giorgio Agamben. An Archaeology of Power (2008), foucaulteanas readings. A conceptual history of biopolitics (2011).
