Elvis Costello - Declan MacManus (London, 1954), who would later be known worldwide as Elvis Costello, was born into a family of musicians - his father was a very popular singer who accompanied dance orchestras in Great Britain. At the end of the seventies he began his musical career with some pub-rock groups, but it would be with punk and new wave when he would reach global successes. In the early nineties Costello began a solo career that led him to express himself beyond styles and genres. He collaborates with Burt Bacharach - the king of easy listening - with The Brodsky Quartet - one of the most famous classical music ensembles in the world - or with Allen Toussaint - a myth of R & B - in a permanent musical search.
