Etgar Keret ( Tel Aviv , 1967) is , today, the most popular writer among Israeli youth . He began writing in 1992 and since then he has published four books of short stories , a novel three comic books and a book for children. His books have been best sellers in Israel and have received praise from international critics . It has been translated into sixteen languages , including Korean and Chinese. Missing Kissinger was named one of the fifty most important Israeli books of all time. More than forty films have been based on their stories. His stories have been adapted for the stage in Israel. Keret has received the Book Publishers Association 's Prize and the Ministry of Culture 's Cinema Prize. Today, Keret is a professor in the Department of Film and Television at the University of Tel Aviv.
