Francisco Pamplona, is Doctor in Social Sciences with orientation in Sociology from the University of Guadalajara; Master in Sociology with attention in Regional Development and Bachelor of Economics. He is currently Professor-Researcher of the Postgraduate Program in Humanities and Social Sciences at the Autonomous University of Mexico City and a Subject Professor at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters of the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is a National Researcher I, SNI-CONACYT. Among some of his most important publications are: Paradoxes of fear. Encounters with ambiguity, uncertainty and absurdity of 2009; "Poverty, inequality and human development with a gender perspective in the State of Hidalgo: migration, indigenous peoples and sustainability" in the National Report on Violence and Health of the United Nations Development Program, Mexico, 2006.
