I am a philosopher currently working full time in the Philosophy Department of Alberto Hurtado University, located in Santiago de Chile. My areas of specialization are Philosophy of the Mind, Philosophy of Perception and Epistemology. My areas of competence are the Philosophy of Contemporary Language and the History of Modern Philosophy with special emphasis on the thinking of David Hume.
Years ago I organized in collaboration with other researchers the Chilean Society of Analytical Philosophy, a small society that I hope will be able to open a new space for academic debate in South America. I am also an active member of the Santiago Mind & Cognition Research Group.
Between 2018 and 2020 I have the responsibility to be the President of the ALFAn Latin American Association of Analytical Philosophy.
At this moment my research is focused on issues related to conceptualism and the possibility of non-conceptual intentional content, in disjunctive theories of perception, in the role played by attention and action in conscious visual representations and in the epistemology of David Hume
