Georg von Wallwitz was born in 1968 in Munich. He studied mathematics and philosophy in England and Germany. With a scholarship from the Studienstiftung des deutschen Volkes, the German foundation for academic excellence, he received his doctorate and then went on to Princeton University as a Visiting Fellow. Since 1998 he has been active in mutual fund management, first for DWS / Frankfurt and since 2004, already as a freelancer, in a Munich-based investment management company of which he is co-owner.
