Gustavo A. Urbina Cortes. Doctor in Social Science with a specialty in Sociology from the Center for Sociological Studies of El Colegio de México. Focused on the investigation of collective action, protest events, the transition to adult life, micro-social interactions, political processes in Latin America, research methodology, the production of knowledge in the social sciences and the costs material and social consequences of the spread of pseudo-scientific ideas. He has published several works on those topics. He is currently doing a postdoctoral stay at CEIICH-UNAM.
