Gyrđir Elíasson

Gyrđir Elíasson (Reykjavík, 1961) is one of the most acclaimed Icelandic writers of his generation. He has published several books of poetry, novels, and short story collections, in addition to translating numerous works. His work has received numerous awards, including the Icelandic Literature Prize in 2000 for Gula húsið and the Nordic Council Literature Prize in 2011 for Milli trjánna, both storybooks.
