Marco Pontis is a lecturer in "Special Pedagogy and Didactics for Intellectual Disabilities and Pervasive Developmental Disorders" and "Special Pedagogy and Didactics for Multidisciplinary Collaboration" at the University of Bolzano.

For nearly twenty years, he has worked with and for individuals with autism spectrum disorders and other complex disabilities. He collaborates with family associations in training parents and professionals working in schools and social and healthcare settings, and in supervising evidence-based educational interventions. He is the author of numerous scientific articles, training materials, essays, and other texts.
