Harry Oldmeadow

Harry Oldmeadow is Professor of Philosophy of Religion, Eastern Religions and Philosophy at La Trobe University, Australia. Among his study interests is the work of traditionalist or perennialist authors (Guénon, Schuon, Coomaraswamy, Burckhardt ...), regarding whom he has carried out important dissemination work. He is the author of numerous articles and several books on perennialist authors and on the relations between the West and the East in the spiritual field, among other topics. In this monograph, Oldmeadow makes a comparative study of the place of myth, religion, and science in the work of two fundamental figures of 20th-century thought, Mircea Eliade and CG Jung, and then presents some of the criticisms that have been made. made to the ideas about religion professed by these authors.
