Musicologist, teacher and music manager. He studied music at the conservatories of Úbeda, Jaén and Granada and musicology in the latter city, where he received his doctorate in musicology in 2007 with a thesis on polyphony in the Mexico Cathedral. He is the director of the Old Music Festival of Úbeda and Baeza and of the Musicology Magazine, a biannual publication of the Spanish Society of Musicology.
