Doctor in Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, he is a set designer and professor in the Department of Design and Image Arts of the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Complutense University of Madrid. As a set designer he has made numerous productions with directors such as William Layton, José Luis Alonso and José Carlos Plaza. Among his works as an architect are the design of Teatro Móvil (1971), awarded with the Second Gold Medal in the Hall of Invention and New Techniques in Geneva and taken to the São Paulo Biennial (1975), the restoration of the Lara Theater de Madrid (1984) and the rehabilitation of the Teatro Principal de Palencia (1993). He has published the works Images of the perspective (1996), Granell and the theater (1997), Looking through (the perspective in the arts) (2000), The Total Theater of Walter Gropius (2004) and The representation of space (2007) ; besides numerous articles in specialized magazines.
