Jens Soentgen (1967, Bensbergm, Germany) is a training chemist and a doctor of philosophy. He has performed teaching tasks at various universities in Germany. Since 2002 he is the general director of the Center for Environmental Sciences at the University of Augsburg. Since 2016 he is an associate professor of Philosophy at the University of Newfoundland memorial in St. John’s.
