Jorge Monlongo is too modern to be a geek and too freaky to be modern. He has illustrated texts in El País and Muy Interesante, and drew the series Harrigan District in the magazine El Manglar. In the United States they had to learn to pronounce his name when he began to draw the comic book adaptations of Hello Kitty, Mameshiba (both published by Viz), Vaca y Pollo and Mr. Peabody & Sherman (these two with IDW). He also passed it on to pirate illustrating Trick ARRR Treat: A Pirate Halloween, a book by Leslie Kimmelman published by Albert Whitman. In 2015, he published with ¡Caramba! Do not hit me I'm wearing glasses, a hipster fable starring Niña Hipster and Gay En Shorts.
