José Martínez de Sousa

El Rosal, Pontevedra, 1933] was studied typography and typesetter before turning to correct typographical and editorial style and several newspapers. In 1974 he published his first work, the Dictionary of typography and the book, to be followed by twenty-three books about language, acronyms, journalism, Bibliology, lexicography, language and style, editing and desktop publishing applications and concerns of modern Spanish, including we highlight the following: Doubts and errors of language, spelling dictionary technique, international dictionary of acronyms, spelling Dictionary of Spanish, Dictionary of writing and style, editing and desktop publishing Manual, Dictionary of Spanish customs and questions current short history of the book, Handbook of Spanish style, Dictionary editing, typography and graphic arts, Vocento style Guide, Dictionary of bibliology and related sciences, Spanish Spelling and orthotypography the current word and deed, Dictionary use upper and lower case, and finally basic Manual of lexicography (the last ten editions published by Trea). He has given numerous lectures and courses on issues of language, editing, translation, lexicography, spelling and orthotypography, while contributions published in other books and articles in newspapers and magazines and abroad. Jose Martinez de Sousa has been president of the International Association of Bibliology (AIB) (1998-2000) and the Spanish Association of Bibliology (AEB), which is now honorary president.
