Juan Augusto Laplacette (JAL) was born in Baradero, Buenos Aires Province, in 1988. He is a clinical psychologist specializing in childhood, having graduated from the University of Buenos Aires. He completed his doctoral studies on children's play, symbolization processes, parental roles, and the adult-child bond. He is a member of the Argentine Society for Early Childhood and teaches university courses on child development from health and education perspectives. A member of the Argentine Association of Illustrators and the Argentine Association of Children's and Young Adult Literature, he is interested in the connection between play, drawing, and writing, finding in the picture book genre a privileged space for storytelling.
