Juan José Morosoli

Juan José Morosoli Porrini (Minas, January 19, 1899 - Minas, December 29, 1957) was a Uruguayan writer, referring to the narrative of the first half of the twentieth century. His criollista work is focused on the country man and his rural or small town environment. Loneliness, death, simple and humble characters, trades in extinction, the transition between the gaucho and the peasant, established many times in miserable conditions, are part of his short stories framed in the post-gaucho literature of his country.
