Juan José Primo Jurado

Juan José Primo Jurado (Córdoba, 1961) is a doctor in History, has a degree in Philosophy and Letters and a diploma in Teaching. He currently directs the Andalusian Institute of Historical Heritage (IAPH) of the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of the Junta de Andalucía. He previously held the positions of sub-delegate of the Government in Córdoba and councilor for Heritage and Historical Center of said city. For a decade he was director of the Historical Archive of the Palacio de Viana, owned by the Cajasur Foundation, where he cataloged his valuable documentary collection. He has also been a professor of Contemporary History at the Rey Juan Carlos and Loyola Andalucía University, a researcher at the University of Córdoba, and taught in different schools and institutes. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Córdoba, Cross for Military Merit for his work as curator in the great exhibition on the Great Captain (2003) and Silver Medal for Penitentiary Social Merit (2017).
