Karen J. Warren is an associate professor in Macaleste College and is co-author, with Jim Cheney, Ecological Feminism. His interest in environmental ethics began even before there was an area of philosophy devoted to this subject, when, in the early seventies, he dedicated his doctoral thesis to the moral and legal status of nonhuman natural objects (bone, trees, rivers, ecosystems). Since then, Warren has developed her interest, academic and personal, for ethics, feminism and environmental philosophy, through its ecofeminist activism.
