He is one of the great Spanish cartoonists. He studied Fine Arts and was initially more interested in painting, but soon turned to comics, influenced by the underground comics of the United States. His success came with the magazine El Jueves, of which he was a founding member, where he published Martínez el facha and finally in 2010 he was recognized with the National Comic Award for his work El arte de volar, together with Antonio Altarriba. In 2019, he illustrated an anonymous text from 1790 in the illustrated book Forty ways to fornicate (Dibbuks), which is also available in Catalan.
