Konrad Paul Liessmann (Villach, 1953), he studied Germanic philology, history and philosophy in Vienna. Degree in 1976, habilitation in 1989. From 1997 to 2002, scientific adviser of the German Society of Aesthetics. Since 2001 member of the European Forum Alpbach Kuratorium. Since 2002, director of the "Circle of Friedrich Heer work" of the Austrian Research Community and editor of the works of Friedrich Heer Böhlau the publisher. Since October 2004, is program director of studies in philosophy at the Faculty of Educational Sciences at the University of Vienna. Austrian State Prize for Cultural Journalism in 1996 Culture Prize of the city of Villach in 1998 Honorary Award of the Austrian Book Market in 2003.
