Liz Williams

Liz Williams is a British science fiction writer and co-director of a witchcraft supplies company. She is the daughter of a stage magician and a gothic novelist. She holds a PhD in the History and Philosophy of Science from Cambridge. Her short stories have appeared in Asimov's, Interzone, The Third Alternative, and Visionary Tongue. From the mid-1990s until 2000, she lived and worked in Kazakhstan. She is the author of several books, including Miracles of Our Own Making and Modern Handfasting.

She has written for The Guardian on paganism and the philosophy of science. She is the UK correspondent for The Wild Hunt website. She has a well-rounded profile, combining academic knowledge of the subject with up-to-date knowledge of witchcraft.
