Lorenzo Gomis (Barcelona, 1924-2005) was a journalist, poet and teacher. In 1951, he won the Adonais Prize in poetry for the book The Horse. That same year he founded the Stag with friends. Shortly after the card was a journalist. He began writing articles for various magazines: Destination, for example. In the 60 entered La Vanguardia, where he became deputy director. During the transition, he was director of El Correo Catalán. Shortly after he became Professor of Journalism at the Autonomous University of Barcelona. In 1994 he retired from La Vanguardia. In those years he wrote his memoirs, A Season in the earth, and gathered his complete poetry in Castilian. Fanfare in 2010 published his posthumous book of poems.
