Born in Martinique (1974), in addition to his works on French literature, he has demonstrated a clear commitment to the gay and lesbian issue, the result of which is the founding of the Homonormalités association in 1997 or the establishment of World Struggle Day in 2005. Against Homophobia, an initiative that has earned him various international awards, such as the Golden Tulipak in Stockholm, the Tolerance in Berlin or the IGLCN in Moscow. Since 2004, he has also been involved in the fight against racial discrimination, founding the CRAN (Conseil représentatif des associations noires).
