From a very young age, Louise Yates began to illustrate the stories she wrote, and it was soon clear that she wanted to dedicate herself to illustration for children's books. She studied English at Oxford, and Drawing at The Prince's Drawing School (London). She released her first illustrated album, A Small Suprise, in 2009, and this album followed in 2010.
