Lu Ciccia

Lu Ciccia holds a PhD in Gender Studies from the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), and a degree in Biotechnology from the National University of Quilmes (Unqui). He did two years of research in the department of Physiology of the Nervous System of the Faculty of Medicine (UBA) as a doctoral fellow of the Conicet. He reoriented his work towards Feminist Epistemology, and finished his doctorate with research on neuroscientific discourse about sexual difference. She was part of the Institute for Philosophical Research (IIF-Sadaf) and won a bioethics award for her work “Sex and gender as variables in biomedical research and clinical practice.” Since 2019, she has been a researcher at the Center for Research and Gender Studies of the National Autonomous University of Mexico (CIEG-UNAM) in the area of Gender in Science, Technology and Innovation. In addition to being a prestigious academic, Lu is a tireless publicizer and her talks (among them, the TED talk “The magic of the genres”) have many visits on the Internet.
