Luc Sante

Luc Sante (USA, 1954) is one of the most brilliant observers of contemporary culture. His prose, delicate and tense at the same time, small scenes and captures a complete fresh us back our time, either through old or hip-hop star books. No wonder, then, that the New Yorker said of him: "He's one of the few living masters of the American language, and also a singular historian and philosopher of American experience." Similarly, his book Kill your idols was one of those selected by the film director Jim Jarmusch occasion literary debates organized in the ATP Festival in New York. Also wrote Low Life, Evidence, The Factory of Facts, Folk Photography, a frequent contributor to The New York Review of Books and teaches history of photography at Bard College.
