Ludwig Wittgenstein

Ludwig Wittgenstein was born in Vienna in 1889 and died in 1951 in Cambridge. From 1939 to 1947 he was professor of philosophy at the University of that English city. His major works include the Tractatus logicus-Philosophicus and Philosophical Investigations. Paul Engelmann was born in 1891 in Olmutz. Architect and writer, studied architecture in Vienna with Adolf Loos, Vienna and Olmutz lived from his exile in Palestine until 1934 and from then until 1965, date of death, in Tel Aviv. Ilse Somavilla, born in Fulpmes (Tirol) lives in Innsbruck. He studied Philosophy, Psychology and English Philology. Collaborates with the Research Institute Brenner-Archiv. His recent works include editions of the texts of Ludwig Wittgenstein: Denkbewegungen. Tagebücher 1930-1932, 1936-1937 (Haymon, Innsbruck-Vienna, 1997), Spanish translation of Isidoro Reguera in Pre-Texts, movements of thought. Diaries 1930-1932, 1936-1937 (Valencia, 2000) and Licht und Schaten.
