He was born in La Plata in 1959. He is a Doctor of Biochemical Sciences from the National University of La Plata, CONICET Researcher and Full Professor at the National University of Quilmes. At UNQ he is Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs. Since 1984 he studies interactions between plants and microorganisms, having been an invited researcher for the Department of Plant Physiology of the Swedish University in Umeä, and for the Department of Biology of the University of Madrid. He currently directs the Research Program in Biological Interactions (PIIB) of the UNQ. He has published numerous papers in international journals, lectured and presented papers at national and international scientific conferences, related to the topic of plant-microorganism interactions.
